- PRESS RELEASE
Potential.com, a leading international business consultancy, organized four web sessions during the Global Mentoring Week for Entrepreneurs, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between (4 - 10 November 2012), to promote this initiative across the world and build on its continued stream of support programs for SMEs (Small Medium Enterprises).
As one of the partners of the Global Mentoring Week for Entrepreneurs, Potential.com's web sessions highlighted the importance of mentoring for entrepreneurs and the vital role such customized programs play in supporting entrepreneurs across the world.
The Centennial Fund, the organizers of the Global Mentoring Week for Entrepreneurs, had earlier introduced the Star Mentoring Program as a part of the initiative which helps mentors in familiarising themselves with the mentoring process and the different roles within it, understanding the three stages of the mentoring relationship, exploring ways in which mentors can help mentees, and practice various skills and techniques required for mentoring.
Commenting on his company's support for this initiative, Shadi Banna, Managing Partner, Potential.com, said: "We are always keen to partner with events and entities which are intended to support entrepreneurs, especially since we believe SMEs play a rather important role in supporting the sustainable development of the national and regional economies. Our partnership with The Centennial Fund in Saudi Arabia reflects our vision of being a partner of choice for developing companies, as we understand the business needs of organizations and help them reach for their highest potential."
The web sessions, held under the Star Mentoring Program, highlighted the characteristics of successful mentors; the needs and ambitions of an entrepreneur; the way mentors can assist entrepreneurs; in addition to the skills that a mentor should have and the evaluation process among others.
In line with its mission of supporting SMEs, Potential.com has recently revamped its SME Evolution Program by adding new features, such as the advanced mobile application, which allows members to access webinars from their Apple iOS mobile devices, and new content methodology which will allow SMEs and partners to promote their products and services on an online platform through the website's new Marketplace feature.
Potential.com has partnered with over 20 leading international and regional organisations like STC, EMC and The Centennial Fund (TCF) in Saudi Arabia, in addition to Qtel and QNB in Qatar, to offer practical support to existing SMEs.
The Global Mentoring Week for Entrepreneurs, organized by The Centennial Fund has become a global Saudi event where many countries and institutions across the globe contribute by providing their expertise and insight for the growing number of entrepreneurs in the region. The annual global event will be held in several countries around the world under the auspices of the Kingdom through The Centennial Fund, involving in its inaugural around 40 countries.
