President of Myanmar awards Prince Alwaleed The Medal of Honor, HRH's 66th Honorary Medal

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), was awarded The Medal of Honor by H.E Mr. Thein Sein, President )Former Prime Minister (of the Union of Myanmar (Burma).
The ceremony was attended by HH Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation that is chaired by Prince Alwaleed, a delegation from KHC and Alwaleed Foundation, Dr. Nahlah Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the chairman, Ms. Amani Algahtani, Assistant Executive Manager to HRH Palace, Ms. Hassna Alturki, Department Head for Travel and External Affairs, Mr. Hani Agha, Senior Manager for Travel and External Affairs and Ms. Manal Alshammari, Manager of Protocol.
Furthermore, the two discussed economic issues including future investment opportunities in the country.
Earlier this year, Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global (Registered in Lebanon) chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed, had made a donation of $50,000 to the social welfare activities of the Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association through its Chairman. This coincided with another donation of $50,000 to the storm victims of Rakhine State, through the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement. The donations were made by Princess Ameerah on behalf of the Alwaleed Foundation.
Alwaleed Foundation's support to Myanmar also includes a $163,000 donation for the rehabilitation of four villages in the area of Taw Khayan-gyi village tract which was affected by Cyclone Nargis. The support provided cash assistance to rebuild damaged structures, acquire motors for fishing boats and produce electricity.
