- PRESS RELEASE
Top executives from Network18 Media and Investments Ltd., India's largest Yellow Pages publishers, met up with the management team from Primedia International this week in Dubai, UAE. They have been exploring new ways to promote bilateral trade between India and the GCC - helping buyers and sellers from both regions find each other.
Primedia Internationals has recently launched a new website, the India GCC Business Forum (IGBForum.com) with the objective of creating a platform for Indian Gulf businesses to communicate with one another.
This portal allows users to exchange ideas, commercial opportunities and ease communications and interactions between the two regions. And the results are already beginning to show with the website playing a key role in aiding trade.
With trade between India and the GCC standing at $145.72bn in 2012 (source: Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, India), India has a keen interest in the countries of the GCC. With the predicted slowdown in economic growth across the globe, these business ties will become even more crucial for these trading blocks. Both Network18 Media & Investments Ltd. and Primedia International are in turn committed to playing their part to aid this expansion of bilateral trade.
"It has been a great pleasure to meet with Network18 Media & Investments Ltd. in Dubai" said Primedia International Chief Executive Officer Mike Orlov. "Our sessions have provided insight, depth and greater knowledge for our management teams ensuring we are at the cutting edge in implementing and facilitating trade and investment between these vibrant regions," he added.
