- PRESS RELEASE
ProVita International Medical Center, Abu Dhabi has welcomed a new CEO, as the facility moves into the next phase of its development. ProVita is the region's first to offer state of the art long-term care for ventilated patients and those requiring continuous medical and nursing intervention for serious medical conditions in a non-hospital setting.
During his tenure as CEO of Oasis Hospital in Al Ain he was a key advisor to the Abu Dhabi government on healthcare financing, professional liclicensing, facility regulation and quality improvement.
Mr Printy has played an integral role in shaping the professional development of healthcare providers and administrators in the UAE.
In addition to his role at Oasis Hospital, Mr. Printy served as President of the Middle East and North Africa Group, American College of Healthcare Executives from 2008 to 2011.
Dr. Helmut M. Schuehsler, Chairman of ProVita said, "it is with great pleasure that we welcome such an experienced CEO to the ProVita team. His work in healthcare in the US is expansive, and he has already demonstrated how this knowledge and expertise can be used to positively impact the region's healthcare system and implement the best international practices in the UAE."
Mr Printy added, "ProVita is an inspirational and unique organisation which has pioneered standards of long-term care on a local level, an area of healthcare delivery which is so desperately needed in this region. Caring for those with chronic conditions presents specific and complex challenges, and we will continue to work to improve the quality of life for each and every one of our patients, as well as reaching out to new patient groups as we expand into Al Ain and further afield."
ProVita has witnessed high demand from chronically ill patients who were previously cared for in hospital ICUs or long-term care facilities abroad. With ProVita facility in Abu Dhabi at full capacity, a second 50-bed ProVita facility is scheduled to open early this year in Al Ain's Al Foah District.
