Purple announces the 4th Annual Toast SANZA event at Abu Dhabi Golf Club

Toast SANZA is an annual event that celebrates all aspects of South African, New Zealand and Australian culture, food, drink and traditions, and showcases the great heritage, traditions and performing arts from each of the Toast Nations, renowned for being so rich in culture.

This year's event will see a wide range of additional entertainment offerings and improvements from last year, with a bigger and better children's play area, music from live bands and DJs, a more varied selection of food and beverage offerings, and welcome speeches from the Ambassadors and Embassy representatives for Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

A range of fun and exciting activities have been organised for children, including face painting, a bouncy castle, kids sports camp, and an arts and craft area (including jewellery making, cupcake decorating, recycling crafts, etc). Other ancillary recreational activities, including 'sports day' activities (e.g. sack races and egg and spoon races), cricket and touch rugby (organized by the Abu Dhabi Saracens Rugby Football Club), will be running throughout the day. For those that like to peruse traditional wares, The Artisans' Quarter will be displaying and selling arts, crafts and novelty gifts from each of the Toast SANZA nations.

Visitors will be able to enjoy music from DJ Daisy (Radio 2), Acoustica, a two piece band originating from New Zealand that plays a fusion of contemporary acoustic music with Arabic percussion, and more live entertainment to be confirmed. The Food and Beverage Village will offer food specialties from each of the countries, such as lamb spit roasts, boerie rolls, Aussie burgers and Australian and New Zealand beef, to name a few culinary delights. A broad selection of beers from each of the Toast Nations will be available for purchase, and with all of the Toast Nations all boasting impressive wines, there will be industry professionals offering a series of wine tastings and expert advice to wine connoisseurs in the Wine Pavilion area.

This year's Toast SANZA event will bring the Abu Dhabi community together to celebrate various cultures and traditions in a safe and fun environment, and will further enhance Abu Dhabi's position as the cultural hub of the Middle East.
