Qatar announces school holidays

Qatar's Supreme Education Council (SEC) has announced the mid-term and annual holidays for private and independent schools in the current academic year, but said that some community schools have been exempted from the unified academic calendar, the Peninsula has reported. According to the decision, the mid-term holidays will be from February 10 to February 21, while the annual summer holidays will begin on June 26 and end on September 9. The annual holidays for Independent school staff will be from July 25 to September 5. All schools in the country must comply with the unified holiday schedule, the regulator said.
