Qatar to convert Corniche Road roundabouts to intersections

Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced plans to convert all roundabouts on the Corniche Road, except the one near Sheraton Doha, into traffic intersections, the Peninsula has reported. The project aims to ease the heavy traffic on the entire stretch of the road during peak hours on weekdays as also on weekends. The Corniche Road currently has seven major roundabouts starting from the VIP roundabout to the Conference Centre roundabout after the Doha Sheraton.
