The QE 20 Index fell back by 0.15% to 8,656.11 points Tuesday, mainly due to losses in the industrial and real estate sector. Qatar Electricity and Water Co. (QWEC) bucked the trend by gaining 1.5% to reach QR138. Earlier in the day, QWEC said a 25-year "Water Purchase Agreement (WPA)" between the country's water and electricity corporation Kahramaa and QEWC was executed today. The WPA is for an approximately 36 MIGD (Million Imperial Gallons per Day) water plant that is to be built by QEWC to meet the water grid requirements of 2015 onwards.
