Qatar to follow-up on cancer patients after radiation therapy

Qatar's Hamad Medical Corp (HMC) is planning to start follow-up on patients for radiation injury, after they have been through its catheterisation laboratory for treatment by radiation therapy, Gulf Times has reported. The plan seeks to ensure the safety of patients and protect them from experiencing adverse side-effects from exposure to high radiation beam, while receiving therapy or treatment for their health condition, especially cancer.
