Qatar Insurance rights issue oversubscribed

The Doha-based QE 20 Index closed at 8,847.50 Sunday, unchnanged from the previous close, so did the shares of Qatar Insurance (flat at QR58.20). Earlier in the day, the insurance firm said that its rights issue has been concluded and the capital of the company is QR1.284bn. This rights issue has been approved during the conducted rxtra ordinary general assembly meeting of the company which was held on Feb. 17 2013. The rights issue was open for subscription from March 4 to March 25 2013 through Qatar National Bank (off 0.70% at QR142) and the number of shares offered for public subscription in the rights issue was 21,405,384 ordinary shares, the total subscription reached QR1.574bn with a number of shares ordered 34,992,640.
