Qatar Islamic Bank gains on Murabaha financing for Nakilat

The Doha-based QE Index slipped 0.14% to finish at 8,404.69 points. Shares of Qatar Islamic Bank or QIB ended 0.40% higher at QR77.50. Earlier in the day, QIB said has successfully closed a $380m of Islamic Murabaha financing with Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat), in collaboration with Qatar International Islamic Bank (International Islamic). QIB's share of the financing is $180m. Nakilat shares advanced 0.60%, finishing Sunday trading at QR15.76.
