Qatar University, Oxy Qatar agree to set up Supply Chain Chair

Qatar University (QU) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Occidental Petroleum of Qatar (Oxy Qatar) to create a Chair to teach Supply Chain as part of its engineering programme, the Peninsula has reported. The three-year agreement provides for Oxy Qatar to make a yearly contribution of $250,000 to QU, which will go toward covering the salary and associated costs of the Chair position. Oxy Qatar will also be involved in selecting the new candidate and help draft the functions and duties of the Chair.
