Qatargas continues support to Doha Oilmen's Golf Tournament

Qatargas has announced its support as 'Gold' sponsors to the Doha Oilmen's Golf Tournament 2013 which will be held on 22 March at the Doha Golf Club (DGC).

This year's event is the 16th edition of the annual golfing event launched in 1998, primarily for golf enthusiasts working in the oil industry in Qatar. Qatargas has been supporting the event for the past several years as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.

Mansour Rashid Al-Naimi, Qatargas Public Relations Manager said, "We are glad to continue our support to the Doha Oilmen's Golf Tournament, which has established itself as a very popular event in Qatar's golfing calendar. Qatargas early this year supported the Qatar Masters, a world-class Golf tournament in Qatar, and the company organises its own Golf Tournament for employees and stakeholders every year at the DGC. Furthermore, we have extended support to DGC's Junior Golf Programme. We believe that these initiatives by Qatargas will help popularize the game of golf in Qatar."

The Doha Oilmen's Golf Tournament is actively involved in supporting and encouraging junior golfers in Qatar through the Doha Oilmen's Academy. The Academy provides weekly lessons to 24 junior players, helping them to develop their skills.
