Qatargas supports Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind

Qatargas has announced its support as Gold Sponsor of the Arab Forum for the Blind to be hosted in Doha during 18 - 22 November 2012.
Qatargas' support to the Forum was announced in a brief ceremony held at the company's Doha Head Office. Present on the occasion were Mansour Rashid Al-Naimi, Qatargas Public Relations Manager, Matar Abdullah Al Mansouri, General Secretary of the Qatar Social & Cultural Center for the Blind, and Youssef Mouftah, Member of Directors of the Centre and its Treasurer.
The sponsorship forms part of Qatargas' continuing commitment to the support of the community in the country, especially that of individuals with special needs.
Commenting on the current initiative, Mansour Rashid Al Naimi, Public Relations Manager at Qatargas, said: "Corporate Social Responsibility is one of our core strategic priorities at Qatargas. We are pleased to support the center to help them achieve their goals of supporting the blind and partially sighted in their everyday lives."
He noted that Qatargas extends support to various educational, sports and cultural programmes in the country as part of its responsibility to society and stated that: "Our position as a premier LNG company is an opportunity for us to support important initiatives that will continue to improve the social activities across the country. Corporate Social Responsibility forms an integral part of the company's vision. Qatargas is committed to providing valuable assistance to health, safety, education and sports programs throughout the country in alignment with the fundamental goals and principles of the Qatar National Vision 2030."
Matar Abdullah Al Mansouri, General Secretary of the Qatar Social & Cultural Center for the Blind, expressed his thanks and gratitude to Qatargas for the company's support to the forum and said:
"Qatargas' support to this important event is a clear demonstration of the company's social responsibility and, effectively, reinforces the important role various organisations in the country can play in supporting people with special needs."
