Qatar's second taxi service launched

Qatar-based Al Ijarah Holding Co has become the second private company in the country to operate taxis, after Al Million launched its first fleet of 300 taxis earlier in July, the Peninsula has reported. Al Ijarah had a soft launch of its taxi service during the Eid holidays, with an initial fleet of some 80 taxis. The third company, Petro Qatar, is expected to join the fray early next year.
