Qatar's wholesale, retail trade sectorposts 11% rise in production

The Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA) has said the wholesale and retail trade sector's total production rose 11% to QR32.15bn in 2011, Gulf Times has reported. The gross value added generated reached QR27.8bn, representing 5.1% of Qatar's gross domestic product, while the net value added, after eliminating depreciation, amounted to QR26bn, said the QSA.
