QNRF awards $350,000 research grant to VCUQatar project

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) has awarded Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar a $350,000 National Priorities Research Programme (NPRP) grant for a project aimed at developing an artists' studio complex in the country, Gulf Times has reported. The one-year Art Souq project will look into the creation of an arts facility designed to support the country's art and culture sector by providing work space, specialised equipment and training in special skills for artists from Qatar, other parts of the Gulf and visiting international artists from across the world.
