Radisson Blu Hotel appoints new GM in Lebanon

"I am so looking forward for this new experience in Lebanon," said Konstantinos Kourotsidis, General Manager Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel in Beirut.

Originally from Greece, Konstantinos, who is Greek/German, started his career in the hospitality industry in 1996 in Food & Beverage, first as a Commis de banquet, a Demi Chef and Chef de banquet and later as Restaurant Supervisor in the Copthorne & Millenium Hotel Hanover in Germany.

In 2000 he joined Rezidor as Service Manager F&B at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Hanover and moved to Ireland a year later for the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway as Head Waiter F&B. He returned to Germany as F&B Manager for the Radisson Blu Resort Schloss Fleesensee before assisting in October 2005 to the pre-opening of the Radisson Blu Resort El Quseir in Egypt as F&B Manager.

In 2008 Konstantinos was appointed Director F&B at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Alexandria in Egypt and transferred to UAE as Executive Assistant Manager of the Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah a year later. In April 2010, he moved to the Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah, UAE in the same position. After several Task Force assignments in Egypt, Libya and UAE, Konstantinos was promoted to General Manager of the Radisson Blu Al Mahary Hotel, Tripoli in Libya in April 2012.

Kourostsidis takes over Mr. Nizam Bou Antoun's position in Beirut who will be moving to Saudi Arabia as General Manager of the Park inn by Radisson Al Khoubar as of February 1st 2013 after spending four years and six months as a General Manager at the Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel Beirut.

Before joining Rezidor, Kourotsidis started his hospitality career with Copthorne and Millennium Hotel in Hanover. He then moved to Rezidor were he spent most of his 13 years of hospitality experience. Kourotsidis was part of Rezidor General Manager fast track programme, through which he moved around several hotels sharing his expertise and assisting teams in opening new properties until he held the General Manager Position at Radisson Blu Martinez Tripoli, Libya and then Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

Konstantinos has been working as Acting General Manager of the Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah in UAE since September 2012, which is his most recent position. His successor is announced separately. Born in Germany but originally Greek, Kourotsidis was educated at the Cornell University and holds a certificate in Hotel Revenue Management. Kourotsidis is fluent in English, German and Greek.
