RAK Airways Board of Directors appoints Murabit Al Sawaf as new board member of the airline

To step up the airline's contribution to the aviation industry in the United Arab Emirates, the board of directors has appointed a versatile dynamic businessman Murabit Al Sawaf as the new board member.

Speaking of the appointment of the new board member, H.E. Engineer Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman Department of Civil Aviation RAK and Vice-Chairman of RAK Airways said, "This move of the Board of Directors of RAK Airways is geared towards the prosperity of the airline and focused recognition of the Emirate. Ras Al Khaimah is a growing emirate and RAK Airways is the flag carrier of the destination. Every phase of the airline has been built in stages and it's time to go further."

The airline impacted news coverage in 2012 and turned a new milestone in the aviation history of the United Arab Emirates by being the first UAE carrier to fly domestic into the capital, Abu Dhabi and the first UAE flag carrier to codeshare with fellow flag carrier Etihad Airways.
