Ras Al Khaimah to host region's first international motor show for exotic and custom cars and bikes

The show, sponsored by Gargash Enterprises Authorized distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and performance specialist Vorsteiner, will feature more than 200 cars and 40 motorcycles, including 30 unique cars on loan from private collections across the Middle East.

Models on display include the world's only Audi R8 GTR-Z PPI, a Camaro SS from the exclusive E-Milano Cars, a very special BMW X-5, and one of only 10 Mercedes SL55s in full carbon fiber.

Among the attractions will be classic cars, dragsters, modified trucks, custom bikes, tractors and buggies. The Custom Garage will give live airbrush demonstrations on car hoods and show how to install a top-spec sound system, while Motor Sport Solutions will put on three types of drifting events each day - one of them featuring RCD, or remote-control drifting.

A four-man jury of experts will award prizes in competitions for a wide range of categories such as Best Engine, Best Classic, Best sound System, Best Display and Best Custom Bike.

"The RAK Motor Show will be a world-class event featuring the most spectacular array of special cars imaginable," said Basem Assi, marketing and events manager of organizers Electromed.

"Our aim is to bring together a truly unique collection of special and classic cars and bikes, a wide range of performance and customizing specialists, and exciting entertainment. There will be something for every automotive taste," added Assi.

Participating organizations include Al Futtaim Dodge, RAK Bank, armored car specialist Streit Group, F1 clutch-maker Exedy, Royal Customs, RAK Motors, the Delta General Trading audio systems and spare parts group, the RAK Police and more.

The RAK Motor Show will run from 4-11 pm each day at the RAK Exhibition Centre next to the Hilton Hotel.
