Hill+Knowlton Strategies announces the appointment of Rasha Kashkoush in the newly created role of Regional Director for Government Communications and Public Affairs.

Kashkoush, of Palestinian/Kuwaiti descent, re-joins the consultancy after a previous six year stint with H+K in the Middle East to build H+K Strategies' government and public sector practice. She will be reporting to Sconaid McGeachin, President & CEO India, Middle East, Africa & Turkey.

With almost a decade of experience in public relations, Rasha Kashkoush's professional expertise lies in strategic communications, messaging, and reputation management programs for organizations in both the private and public sector.

She started her career at Manning, Selvage and Lee (MS&L) in Kuwait before joining H+K Strategies in Dubai in 2004 as an account executive.

In 2010 Kashkoush took a two year sabbatical to pursue a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.

"Rasha's understanding of the Middle East coupled with her experience working on public sector clients at H+K Strategies gives her a unique edge," says McGeachin.

"As the demand for more complex government communications programs increases, Rasha is well placed to understand local needs and cater them to global markets. She will expand our government practice across the region."

Rasha's private sector experience ranges from multinationals like Boeing and Shell to regional leaders such as Dubai Holding and Zain.

Her public sector clients have included the UAE government, the Queen Rania Foundation, the International Monetary Fund, Injaz Al Arab, the Federal National Council of the UAE, and the Special Court for Sierra Leone.

Fluent in English, Arabic and French, her experience in the communications industry takes on a regional perspective.
