REED launches training initiative designed to work directly with clients

- PRESS RELEASE
International recruitment firm REED has launched a training initiative designed to work directly with clients, identifying areas of development and opportunity for their staff. Instead of simply signing up to pre-established courses, UAE companies are opening their doors to REED to benefit from bespoke training gained from over fifty years of recruitment and HR experience around the world.
Companies in sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and banking are already working with Reed Learning ahead of its official launch in February.
"This is a new concept for a UAE-based recruitment company," said Mr Quy. "With Reed Learning, companies don't just choose standard courses - we send teams into organisations where we have complete independence and autonomy to monitor processes and internal workings," he added.
"We measure employee engagement, productivity levels, skills gaps and a host of other criteria to identify areas of potential concern. We then produce a report identifying development areas for staff that will benefit from training. We don't just sell a training course - we tailor what we offer to a company's needs," he concluded.
Of the companies already working with Reed Learning, many were found to require training in key areas. "We found several areas for improvement, especially in inter-departmental communication and recruitment methods," said Mr Quy.
"We don't believe these findings are unique to these clients, but apply to companies across the region. We can design training courses that directly address these areas. Staff will be motivated to take part in programmmes they view not as obligatory but as a chance to help their careers," he added.
"In turn, the client gets more value from its employees, lessening the need for often lengthy and costly recruitment programmes. Reed Learning supports employers to retain and develop staff for the long-term, addressing developmental needs to create a sustainable workforce and skills base within the region," he concluded.
To conduct the courses in the UAE, REED has been able tap into its global network of senior professionals and industry-leading experts. This means Reed Learning can select the best consultants to conduct training, rather than using trainers who often stick to a traditional course model. With over 500 courses and a range of accredited programmes, Reed Learning offers a full suite of development options.
"As companies expand, reinvestment in existing employees is a more efficient use of their increasingly precious time and budget rather than simply hiring fresh talent," Mr Quy said. "We expect to enjoy similar success here as we have in theUKin the last ten years, if not more," he added.
