Renault Duster makes a clean sweep of sales records

Launched in May this year, the Duster starts at a 'shockingly affordable' price. The small SUV's blend of features, driving characteristics and styling have proved to be a winning combination for customers; while its an ideal car for driving in and around town, its spacious interior with sedan comfort and high ground clearance make it just as capable on the highway or off the beaten track.

The success of the Duster has significantly contributed to AAC Renault's impressive 90% sales growth for H1 2012, compared with the same period of 2011.

"The response to Renault Duster has been remarkable," said Ashish Goel, senior manager at Arabian Automobiles Company, Renault.

"The package it delivers is unbeatable at its price and made Duster a favourite with customers from across Dubai and Northern Emirates' diverse population. The Duster consistently over-delivers on expectations of specification, performance and space while continuing to shock people with its pricing."

Unveiled at a special ceremony at AAC's Renault showroom in Deira, sales of the Duster have already accounted for 22% of the company's total sales for 2012 to date, within the three-and-a-half months since launch; with enquiries continuing to flood in and orders being placed.

"Based on what we are seeing at the moment, we expect interest to remain high for Renault Duster. All three grades are universally popular with the top grade SE+ being just as sought after as the entry-level PE with each offering outstanding value to suit differing budgets," Goel added.

Duster is available in three trim levels: entry (PE); mid (SE) and top grade (SE+) - the latter including leather seats and side airbags. The Duster's list of standard features for the SE and SE+ includes twin airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), air conditioning, an MP3 compatible stereo with steering wheel control, electric mirrors, height adjustable leather steering wheel, roof bars, alloy wheels and fog lamps. A comprehensive range of accessories (including wind reflectors, side steps, wheel arch moldings, chrome exhaust trim, mudflaps) is also available.

To confirm the New Renault Duster's strength and reliability during its test programme, it covered the equivalent of four million kilometers in a wide range of climates and in particularly punishing conditions. One month of rigorous testing in GCC conditions prior to launch was specifically conducted to ensure the vehicle conforms to local demands.

Customers buying the new Renault Duster from Arabian Automobiles have the added peace of mind of three years or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first).
