- PRESS RELEASE
Organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the Traffic Safety Expo 2012 will take place from 16th -18th October, 2012 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre from 10:00 am to 1:00pm & 4:30pm to 8:30 pm.
Along with strong representation from various ministries and government bodies, the event this year will receive participation from some big names in the automotive sector and the banking sector. Since automobile companies are directly linked to providing the keys to the mode of transport for a particular driver, they are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that drivers follow vehicular safety procedures, are equipped with the latest safety equipment and follow safe driving behaviour while on the road.
Banks and Insurance companies are indirectly linked to drivers as they form the financial safety net that drivers fall on when procuring a vehicle or when meeting with an accident that either results in the driver becoming the victim or causing loss of life, property or injuries. Besides assuring drivers of their constant support in trying times, Banks and Insurance companies can go one step further when asking drivers to exert caution and maintain a sense of responsibility and avoid any such behaviour which can lead to uncontrollable repercussions on the driver's part.
"When the big players in the industry show their support, their efforts are much appreciated and do much to garner attention and involvement to the cause of traffic safety. Participation from the automotive sector at the Traffic Safety Expo 2012 includes Suhail Bahwan Automotive Group, Saud Bahwan Group, MHD LLC, Zubair Automotive Group and OTE Group. Representation from the banking sector includes Bank Sohar, Oman Arab Bank and Bank Dhofar while representation from the insurance sector includes National Life & General Insurance Co., Dhofar Insurance and Falcon Insurance Company. The Capital Market Authority (CMA), Sultanate of Oman will also be taking part in the event alongside the above mentioned Insurance companies," says Mr. Alawi Almurazza, Traffic Safety Expo 2012.
