  • PRESS RELEASE

As part of its participation in the current edition of Gitex Technology Week 2012, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released a new version of RTA services (RTA Dubai) for Madinati system; which is one of the key services launched by the RTA since 2007, acting as a main hub for receiving feedbacks and reports from community members, connecting them with officials in order to protect the right-of-way from various faults.

"Some modifications have been introduced to RTA services application (RTA Dubai) to make it compatible with mobile smart-phones such as iPhone, Apple iPad, and Android systems in order to enable RTA Madinati system users send their reports accompanied together with photographs or video clips along with the geographical ordinances of the site. Thus the report, including full details, can be transmitted without having to contact RTA Call Center (8009090)," said Abdullah Al Bastaki, Director of RTA IT.

"The new version will save much of the time and effort of all concerned bodies, particularly as it is user-friendly and ensures speedy response to redressing the faults reported by customers, let alone relieving the burden on inspectors in carrying out frequent site visits," he added.

"The new edition of Madinati system encourages community members to take part in protecting properties & lives through communicating any violations or damage sustained to the right-of-way out of their own keenness on maintaining the public health, and protecting the public facilities. During the first quarter of this year, about 8560 reports were made under the system, and it is believed that the new version will witness a rise in the number of users, prompting them to communicate with the RTA in submitting important feedbacks," added Al Bastaki.
