Royal Jet Luxury Vacations launches its Seychelles programme

This week Seychelles moved another step forward to consolidate its presence in a niche market so well suited for these mid ocean islands. Royal Jet, the world's leading private jet charter company, launched Royal Jet Luxury Vacations at a ceremony at the Banyan Tree Seychelles Resort. The Royal Jet Luxury Vacations team, led by Mr Shane J. O'Hare, the President and CEO of the Company officially launched their high end product in Seychelles.

Mr O'Hare, the President and Chief Executive of Royal Jet Charter, said that luxury consumers of United Arabs Emirates and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) comprising of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait are "very savvy clients, and they know fine quality and appreciate a level of service that reflects the quality of the brand they are buying".

"Royal Jet is customer driven. We offer three major areas in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius, Maldives and Seychelles. It's a global and a regional operation in the development of the product. We develop the product along with what the customer want, and based on their feedback," said Mr Shane J. O'Hare.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Jet said that the Seychelles islands are today regarded as being a real force in luxury hospitality, and this is why the Seychelles resorts feature on top of Royal Jet Luxury programme.

"We chose to partner with Etihad Airways as well as our global airlines to offer comprehensive travel options for one's journey that meet our clients' requirements. Seychelles is today top on our list of recommended resorts. We have developed exclusive agreements with the Banyan Tree Seychelles, and with the Maia Resort to work with the Royal Jet Luxury Vacations and we pass on these special negotiated rates to our clients," Mr O'Hare said.

Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, said that the launching of Royal Jet Luxury Vacations comes at an opportune time for Seychelles.

"Our Tourism Board is today working on attracting more suitable Niche Markets for our islands, and clients from the Royal Jet is one such new niche market. Seychelles is today attracting this new niche market through Royal Jet. These clients are high end customers from the UAE and from GCC countries. Our vision for tourism has been, and our vision remains not to turn Seychelles into a mass market tourism destination, we are instead a tourism destination wanting to consolidate its personalised style of tourism through a planned approach to diversify our source markets. The launching of Royal Jet Luxury Vacations is clearly the kind of product that will enhance the Seychelles tourism industry," Minister Alain St. Ange said.

The launching of Royal Jet Luxury Vacations in Seychelles was held in the presence of a strong team of media houses from the Middle East Broadcasting Cooperation, SAMA Dubai TV, Star FM in Abu Dhabi, Middle East Travel Daily and a broad selection of print media in the Middles East region. They flew on board Royal Jet for this inaugural launch and they were all received at the Seychelles International Airport by a Tourism Board led party and the National Cultural troupe.
