Iran: Italian carmaker Fiat announced it is halting sales to Iran, after facing an onslaught of criticism, the Associated Press has reported. The company said it "supports international efforts for a diplomatic solution" regarding Iran. Sales to Iran are "totally immaterial" in terms of numbers, and concerned only commercial and civilian products, Fiat added. [AMEInfo.com]

Iran: Traces of uranium enriched at 27% have been found by UN nuclear inspectors at Iran's Fordo nuclear site, BBC has reported. The latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency said Iranian officials told inspectors that the production of such particles "may happen for technical reasons beyond the operator's control." The aim of the Fordo site is to enrich uranium for civilian use up to a maximum of 20%, and the latest readings could be accidental, Iranian officials said. [AMEInfo.com]

Iran: The Iranian oil ministry has announced plans to build an oil terminal at Bandar Jask outside the Strait of Hormuz to ensure exports in the event of Gulf shipping problems and to ship Caspian oil, Reuters has reported. It would be connected to the Caspian Sea port of Neka using a one million barrel a day pipeline, said the head of the Iranian Oil Terminals Co (IOTC), Seyyed Pirouz Mousavi. "In the event of any type of problem in exporting crude oil from the Kharg terminal, this terminal can provide back up for exports," he said. [AMEInfo.com]

Iran: South Korea's largest oil refiner SK Energy is to stop oil imports from Iran after a European Union ban on insuring Iranian tankers comes into effect on July 1, Reuters has reported, citing two sources with direct knowledge of the matter. "SK Energy won't lift Iranian crude oil after lifting a two-million barrel cargo in early June," one of the two sources said. SK Energy had contracts to import 130,000 barrels per day (bpd) from Iran under term deals for this year. Refiner Hyundai Oilbank, which imports 70,000 bpd from Iran, will stop purchases from June, industry sources said. [AMEInfo.com]
