        Emiratisation body Tanmia has launched a campaign designed to inform UAE students about opportunities in the local employment market. The move will see Tanmia establishing information bureaus at schools, universities and colleges throughout the country. Bureaus will be established at the Institute of Applied Technology, Emirates University, Al Ain Women's Technical College, Al Fujairah Men's Technical College, Ajman Secondary School, Al Ameer Secondary School and Al Quadssiyeh Secondary School.

        Many public school pupils in Ras Al Khaimah are enjoying an extended holiday for Eid Al Adha after missing most of last week's classes, reported Gulf News. An education official said students would often decide for themselves when to take their holidays and only those needing to attend exams turned up. Schools had sent out letters urging parents to make sure their children adhered to the correct holiday dates.
