DM launches National Day celebrations

In an atmosphere marked with patriotic fervor, Dubai Municipality kicked off its festivities to mark the 37th National Day of the UAE that will include a wide range of events to be held over a span of four days at different locations.

Over 60 teachers responsible for over 22,500 students from throughout public and private schools in Dubai have attended an expert 'online' workshop hosted by Dubai Municipality with the ultimate aim of helping improve student's knowledge and appreciation of the UAE environment via a new online teaching resource.

Over 20,500 volunteers pick up 4150 tons of litter

As many as 20,550 volunteers from several government and non-government organizations, community groups, schools and private firms collected more than 4150 tons of waste in the biggest ever 'Clean Up the World' campaign organised by Dubai Municipality.

More than 3800 volunteers, including students from 79 government schools in Dubai and Hatta as well as employees of 20 government and private establishments, turned up the second day of the Clean Up the World campaign which saw a variety of voluntary activities at different locations across the city.
