        Gulf countries should prioritize investing in renewable energy and embrace green economy to sustain their economic growth, a regional conference in Bahrain concluded. Sixteen experts talking at the Sixth Zayed Environment Seminar  at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in Bahrain were unanimous that GCC countries should rationalize patterns of production and consumption and improve their water desalination operations by going eco-friendly.
