Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs, Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority, the ceremony for the award of an exploration and production sharing agreement (EPSA) for Bahrain Offshore Block 2 to PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Ltd will be inaugurated on 25th February 2008 in the National Oil and Gas Authority building in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

A duel celebration took place for the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), when the inauguration of its new Low Sulphur Diesel Production Complex (LSDP) by His Highness the Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa formed the centrepiece of the 75th Anniversary of the discovery of oil in Bahrain.
