        The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi (DoT) announced the introduction of trikkes that will be used by Mawaqif paid parking inspectors in areas where paid parking is implemented. The trikkes will make their official parking enforcement debut on March 14, 2010.

The implementation of paid parking services will be introduced in 19 areas around the capital. Every month, paid parking will be introduced in 1 or 2 areas of the city.
