RTA honours 25 cleaning staffs, Waterbus skippers and seamen

In implementation of the initiative of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to dedicate the celebrations of HH Accession Day this year to thank and honor individuals delivering basic services such as farmers, cleaners & construction workers, public transport drivers, domestic workers and others, the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently honoured 25 male & female cleaning workers at the Administrative Services Dep't, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services sector.

Ahlam Al-Feel, Director of Administrative Services, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, honored these workers who were selected on the basis of a number of parameters, including seniority at the RTA, distinguished performance, punctuality in attendance, speedy & effective service provision to RTA's employees, besides adhering to proper norms of personal attitudes, work practices, and honesty. Attention was given in selecting multi-national honorees who were rewarded with cash grants and appreciation gifts in a ceremony attended by a host of managers and employees of the Dep't.

"The Administrative Services Dep't is keen on providing best-in-class services to RTA's employees in keeping with RTA's standing among community members. The diverse array of services rendered by the Department to RTA's employees includes the cleaning service which is run by a large team of cleaners deployed in cooperation with a specialized company to keep all offices as well as vital installations and facilities clean and tidy all the time," continued Al-Feel.

In the same context, Baha Uddin Al-Qudra, Director of Marine Transport Dep't at RTA Public Transport Agency, honoured 3 Water Bus skippers, and 2 Seamen at Al Seef Marine Transport Station, Dubai.

Honoring Water Bus skippers and seamen is based on a set of criteria that include the least number of recorded accidents, least number of fines/violations, highest punctuality, longest time serving RTA, safe navigation and smooth operation, staff appearance and looking, patience of the staff with customers, least complains/more thanks messages received from the customers, 100% readiness of the vessels, and RTA's operation staff evaluation.
