  • United Arab Emirates: Saturday, March 02 - 2013 at 00:35

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in association with Dubai Police, has launched a campaign to force owners of quad bikes to register them, Gulf News has reported. Failing to renew the annual registration and inspection of quad bikes is a punishable offence by law, said Ahmad Hashem Behroozian, CEO of RTA's Licensing Agency. "We are trying to help the teenagers who ride the quad bikes to get their vehicles registered. In the last six months, we have got a good response, with dozens of bikes already registered. Our campaign involves spreading the information about registration and taking care of safety measures," said Behroozian.
