- PRESS RELEASE
The Rail Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has unleashed a marketing & promotional campaign rolling on throughout the month of February 2013 entitled "Use and Win" in a bid to encourage all community segments to use the Dubai Metro and possibly win an iPhone 5 everyday.
"A daily draw will be made to select the winner among the metro users and offer him (her) an iPhone 5 smart phone throughout the duration of the campaign, which lasts through the end of February 2013. To be eligible for selection, the user must have used and travelled on the metro twice or more on the day using one of the three Nol cards (Gold, Silver and Blue) only. "
"The more the number of trips made, the more the chances of winning the draw, provided the passenger must have travelled at least one zone in each trip. A team will then attend to listing all users eligible for taking part in the draw, and randomly selecting the winner through the tapped Nol card number at the backside of the card. The winning Nol card Number will be posted daily on RTA Twitter account, Facebook page, and RTA portal as well as the metro stations where posters will be displayed to show the numbers of winning cards over the month," continued Ramadan.
The winner has to dial this number to introduce him/her self within 10 days from the announcement of the result. To make life easier for winners, the RTA will coordinate with them to report to Emirates Airline or Burjuman Stations to claim their prizes.
Triggering off the process, the CEO of Rail Agency Adnan Al Hammadi, presented the first winner with an iPhone 5 at Emirates Airlines Station. The winner praised RTA initiative considering it a positive step towards boosting the use of public transport means on the one hand, and protecting the environment on the other.
