RTA says new Salik gates to collect charges 24/7

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has said the new Salik toll gates at Al Mamzar and Airport Tunnel are to remain operational around the clock, Gulf Today has reported. The RTA was responding to questions by motorists as to whether the charges will end when the heavy motor traffic reduces from 10 pm onwards. "No, the charges are on 24/7," a senior RTA official was quoted as saying.
