Ruler of Sharjah approves multi-project plan for Sharjah

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved a multi-project proposal for the emirate of Sharjah including a 6,500-unit residential zone in Al Zubair, a fishing harbour and a yacht marina at Al Heera.
The announcements were made by His Highness Al Qasimi during an interaction on the radio talk show 'Al Khat Al Mubasher' (Direct Line Programme) that is simultaneously broadcast on Sharjah Radio and TV. In addition to announcing the new services projects, His Highness expressed his satisfaction with the improvements achieved by the government authorities in Sharjah that has led to projects being completed 50% faster than the earlier pace.
His Highness also assured the people of Rahmaniya that he has approved the entrances to the suburb, saying, "We have finished the planning of the new street that leads to the borders of Ajman and will be connected to the by-pass road. The first phase has been completed while the second phase is marking quick progress."
His Highness pointed out that the construction of the road took longer than scheduled because of its stretch through villages and border areas.
The Ruler of Sharjah said, "We have currently received over 12,000 housing applications that need land, basic services and infrastructure. Based on this demand, we are simultaneously working on Al Seouh and Al Zubair projects."
Concluding his on-air conversation with the citizens of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi encouraged citizens to freely express their concerns and needs through the Direct Line Programme' for immediate remedial actions.
