Safetex launches $10m Emirates Fibre plant

UAE-based bedding material manufacturer Safetex Group has announced the launch of the $10m Emirates Fibre plant, which will supply the local and regional markets with polyester fibre used in bedding products and home furnishings, Gulf News has reported. The plant is expected to increase production to 1,500 tonnes a month by June, said chairman of the group, Muhammad Saleem Ahmad. It began production on January 15 at a production capacity of 600 tonnes a month at the Al Gail Industrial Park in Ras Al Khaimah.
