What began as a casual conversation between the Red Bull Racing driver and Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel and Infiniti's Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura, at the 2011 Geneva Show was revealed six months later, in concept form at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show.

The Infiniti Sebastian Vettel FX Edition is Infiniti's fastest car yet and the most exclusive crossover ever made. It is an inspiration and reflection of its creator. This prototype concept car is a sporty take on the original and combines Formula One technology and performance.

The Sebastian Vettel FX comes equipped with F1-inspired carbon-fiber aero accessories, a lowered suspension and a 5.0-liter V8 that churns out 420 hp. Its distinctive features include: a matte white exterior color; F1-inspired carbon fiber front air dam with white LED running lights; F1-inspired side skirts and rear air dam; 21-inch 10-spoke black-finish aluminum wheels; dark tinted adaptive headlamps; dark tinted rear tail lamps; satin aluminum door handles; side air vents and exterior trim; carbon fiber rear wing; carbon fiber interior trim; and F1-inspired steering wheel and suede seating surfaces.
