Samsung Electronics Levant the main sponsor of Samsung Premier Basketball League

Samsung Electronics Levant, the world leader in consumer electronics and digital technology, announced its sponsorship of the Samsung Premier Basketball League 2013, from its firm believe in supporting Jordanian sports and athletes.

Mr. Fadi Abu Shamat, Head of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Electronics Levant commented: "Samsung Electronics Levant's sponsorship comes to enrich its engagement with local sports, and its positive impact on individual players, and enrich the team spirit in the process."

"Basketball sport has a wide audience among Jordanian youth, and we hope that our partnership will inspire the players to give their best performance, and reach accomplishments similar to previous one such as the National Team qualification to the World Cup Championship in 2010 and pre Olympics tournament in 2012, aiming to create a new generation of professional players", he added.

The Samsung Premier Basketball League, which commences from Feb 15th to May 30th includes 8 clubs: Orthodox, ASU, Kofryuba, Al Riyadi, Al Wehdat, AlKulleyeh, Al Ettihad, and Ghazzet Hashem club, with a total of 70 games to crown the winning team, the games will be held in various venues; HRH Prince Hamza Court at Al Hussein Youth Sport City, Emil Haddad Gym at Orthodox Club, ASU Club, and HRH Prince Hassan Court in Irbid.

It is noteworthy that Samsung Electronics supports many sports initiatives globally and in Jordan, as Samsung is the Title sponsor of the annual Amman International Marathon, the official partner of "Generations for Peace" initiative and the partner of the AFC, stemming from Samsung Electronics' believe in the role of sport and its positive impact on young people in the creation of the collective spirit.
