Samsung launches world's thinnest notebook in UAE

Samsung Electronics has launched the world's thinnest notebook in the UAE and said it expects positive growth in 2012 in the segment, Khaleej Times has reported. The company continued to maintain 65% growth in the first quarter of 2012, compared with same period last year in GCC countries excluding Saudi Arabia, said Denzil D'souza, business head of notebooks at Samsung Gulf Electronics. The new generation Series 9 notebook is available in major retail outlets across the UAE in 13" and 15" variants. The 13" Series 9 is available in Core i5 processor and i7 processor options and retails at Dhs5,299 and Dhs5,999, respectively. The 15" Series 9 with an i7 processor is available at Dhs6,299.
