Samsung's UAE sales grew 340% in 2012

Samsung Electronics has said its telecoms business in the Gulf region has witnessed another record quarter, Gulf News has reported. The South Korean firm recorded a 214% increase year-on-year in mobile-device sales for 2012, driven by the Galaxy S3, Note 2 and comprehensive portfolio of mid-range mobiles and media tablets. In the UAE alone, Samsung recorded a 340% increase in year-on-year within mobile communication devices sales, the report said.
