SanDisk eyes Oman growth, partners with STI

Data storage solutions maker, SanDisk has entered into a partnership deal with Oman's Souq Technology International (STI), as part of the US-based firm targets the growing market for USB and memory products in the Sultanate, Muscat Daily has reported. SanDisk will initially concentrate on end-user consumers in Oman, but will also be looking for further opportunities with large corporate entities and government institutions as it grows its presence in the local market, said Tareq Husseini, SanDisk's sales director for the Middle East and Africa. The partnership with STI will allow SanDisk to tap into the large number of independent retailers, as well as major retailers including Lulu, Carrefour and the upcoming Sharaf DG store in the Muscat Grand Mall, Husseini said.
