Saudi Acwa picks Spanish consortium for Morocco power project

Saudi Arabia's Acwa Power International has selected a Spanish consortium comprising Acciona, Sener and TSK to build its solar power plant in Morocco's southern city of Ouarzazate, Reuters has reported. Acwa won the $1bn deal to build the 160 MW plant in Morocco in September. Set to start production in the second half of 2015, the plant is part of a plan to produce 500 MW of solar power each year in the city.
