Saudi Arabia to assess programmes and set new standards

The Saudi education ministry is to set up a commission to conduct a major evaluation of all its programmes to determine strengths and weaknesses and set new performance standards for schools, teachers and students, Arab News has reported. The proposed Commission for Evaluating Education will hire consultancies to carry out the work to evaluate the general performance of schools, curricula, and develop and implement national exams, the ministry said.
