Saudi Arabia awards Riyadh airport expansion contract

Saudi Arabia has selected Netherlands Airport Consultants (Naco), its Saudi subsidiary Sadeco, and global architect HOK the contract to design the expansion of King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh. The consortium, led by NACO and HOK, will design the expansion of the existing terminals 3 and 4, which will increase the capacity of KKIA from 15 million to 20-25 million passengers per year. The project is expected to cost more than $800m and the expansion is scheduled for completion in 2015.
