Saudi Arabia empowers judges to access defaulters' bank accounts

The Saudi justice ministry has decided to empower judges to access and withdraw funds from bank accounts of defaulters to pay off their creditors, Saudi Gazette has reported. Judges have also been granted the power to ask all financial institutions as well as other agencies to disclose the assets of defaulters including real estate and other fixed assets within 10 days of notification.
