Saudi Arabia shuts down shops for flouting Saudization rules

The Saudi labour ministry has shut down 18 lingerie shops in shopping centres in eastern Riyadh for failing to employ Saudi women, Arab News has reported. "We'll close down all shops that sell lingerie and women's accessories if they do not fulfil Saudization conditions," the ministry said. "We'll deploy female inspectors to ensure there is no foul play in appointing women at these shops," it said.
