Saudi government to preserve Riyadh's heritage

Saudi Arabia's Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) has announced plans to develop the ancient Al-Zaheera district in Riyadh to preserve heritage buildings and distinctive historical features in the area, Arab News has reported. The development plan for the ancient district aims to convert the neighbourhood into an integrated heritage and environment-friendly district with facilities for housing, commercial activities and amusement parks. Currently, there are ongoing development of heritage and historical projects in Jeddah, Taif, Abha, Ahsa, Najran, Hofuf, Taima and Tabuk.
