Saudi insurer to roll out safe-driving incentive scheme
- Saudi Arabia: Sunday, January 27 - 2013 at 05:21
Saudi-based Najm for Insurance Services has announced it will start in 2014 the implementation of incentives and rebates to motorists in the kingdom, whose records are free of traffic accidents or violations of the system, Arab News has reported. The initiative will be in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic and Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (Sama), the company said. The Najm Net system will gather information on motorists and traffic accidents, which can be collected and used by Najm or traffic and road safety, or any other party, it said. The system would benefit safe motorists and would act as an incentive for motorists to avoid accidents and traffic violations, Najm added.
